Oman Oil Company (OOC) was initiated in 1992, preparatory to its establishment in the Sultanate of Oman in 1996 as a national flagship company with the objective of securing for the people of Oman a prosperous future that is independent of the country’s direct oil revenues.

Wholly owned by the Government of the Sultanate of Oman , Oman Oil Company is a commercial venture that is aligned with the Sultanate’s Vision 2020, an economic development programme which aims at achieving a sustainable, diversified and a globalized economy by the year 2020.

To this effect, Oman Oil Company identifies strategic investment opportunities and enters into joint ventures, primarily, but not exclusively, within the global energy sector.

Within a decade of commencing operations, Oman Oil Company is fulfilling its objectives to the satisfaction of its stakeholders.
